Lucidity – Processing based project

I found some footage from a project back when I was at uni. It was based on Lucidity and was executed using Processing and a Wii Controller. Hit >>>Lucidity – Interactive Piece< << to have a read back over my old project. Here's the footage I found meshed together quickly in Final Cut Pro, if you're wondering who the music is by, it's Cassius entitled Invisible.

NB. The project was back in 2007 but the video was made today.

4 days to go…

Ive estimated to get everything done by this thursday as i dont want the hassle of going in next week! I don't wanna stress too much about it.

Digital Narrative

So far I've managed to edit 8 movies although I may take out 'Heat' as I don't think it's a successful edit. I may try and do 'Rocky' it's just figuring out what scene to dissect! All I then have to do is compile all the work on a DVD. Chapter mark them and put some kind of title sequence.

Virtual Space

I have figured out how to make a separate frames from the DV footage taken. I now have to import the other timed video's. Then edit them twice using photoshop. Then lay them all out. Hopefully I can figure out how to use Director.

Maverick Machines

Well I have an idea... Its just putting it together that might be the problem. Tonight I'll propose an idea and figure out the details etc...

A lot of wires…

The other day we did more experimenting. I decided to work on program that makes 8 numbers float on screen. Each number can be made to float in the opposite direction by a push of 8 different switches.

Stick Joy!

Today 'I' managed to put together the joystick after not much joy over the past month. So yeah... works with Processing now. SO yeah DONE it so work completed?

Joystick

The picture shows Angelina (my G4), plugged into an Arduino board via usb. The joystick has been rewired so that it can be connected to the Arduino board. A program was downloaded onto the board, so that with movement on the joystick (or you can use two pentiometers) can then be then seen on screen. You can change several variables like colour and line thickness. The result is a joystick controlled 'etch a sketch'.

Arduino – KnightRider

Today we did work on Arduino, slowly putting together a circuit with flashing L.E.D's...

KnightRider

I did come in a bit late... like about an hour but managed to catch up quickly due to my high intellectual state of mind (hehehe). The code that we used enabled the board to flash from left to right. You can then change the code making the L.E.D's flash slower, faster, have a faster return and have a longer pause. Overall great stuff. Will play with it at home... and the Arduino board too (hehehe)

Today Usun told us how wire up a Arduino board, using a Potential thingy? Not quite sure but yeah... looked interesting, hopefully be more hands on next week cos we have to put together our own boards!

As you can see there were loads of l.e.d's that light up according to how much you push a joystick. Once it was all put together I could see some 'potential' interactive pieces!
