The Life of My Vans
Posted: October 27th, 2009 | Author: Mr Laroza | Filed under: RANDUMB | Tags: vans | No Comments »Today mother dearest wanted to know if there were any footwear that I no longer needed as she was sending a few crates to the Philippines. (Filipino families like to send gifts, clothes, shoes and other random stuff!). After sifting through my shoes/trainers we started to go through my mum and dad's old shoes. Turns out my dad got a few tailor made in the Philippines... which sadly he no longer wears (I bet they'll come into fashion sooner or later!) Anyhoo it got me thinking about the life of shoes. So here goes the life of my trusty Vans in bullet point form:
I was exchanged due to a pair or Keds being too small in June 2008
I have traveled to New York, Boston, New Hampshire, Miami, Guatemala in the space of 2 months
I have been used on hikes, in woodshops, gardens, feilds, clubs, bars, schools, colleges
Yet I have only been on a skateboard for only 1 hour of my lifetime
I have mud on me that I cannot get off
My owner thought about getting rid of me to then use some heel padding to solve the 'sock rub'
I probably have some poop on me somewhere
I like being used when I drive a mini
My sole is amazing
I have never been washed!
I'll probably be worn for another year
